Managing access rights to feature sets

In Process Manager, you to manage access rights to specific feature packages in the user group management dialog. Like this, you can give each modeler group access to the exact feature sets they require to perform their tasks. For example, this helps prevents users from uncontrolledly creating diagrams or dictionary entries in your workspace.

To manage feature sets of user groups, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the Explorer and click Setup - Manage users & access rights. The user management dialog opens.
  2. Go to the User groups tab.
  3. Select the desired user group and activate or deactivate the features according to your requirements.

  1. Click Save feature sets to confirm and save the changes.

The following table lists all feature sets you can (de)activate.

Configurable feature sets
Feature set Description
Decision Manager - DMN requirements modeling (without decision logic) Allows users to create and edit DMN diagrams, but doesn’t allow creating and editing the decision logic in such diagrams.
Decision Manager - complete Allows users to create and edit DMN diagrams, including the contained decision logic.
Decision Manager - export Drools Allows users to export decision tables and diagrams as Drools rules.
General - Dictionary import Allows users to import dictionary entries from .xls(x) (Microsoft Excel) spreadsheets.
General - diagram import/export Allows users to import and export diagrams.
General - reports (basic & documentation) Allows users to generate basic reports. Includes all reports with the exception of cost and resource consumption analysis reports.
General - reports (cost & resources) Allows users to generate cost and resource consumption analysis reports.
General - upload files Allows users to upload files to Signavio Process Manager.
Process Manager - edit processes Allows users to create and edit diagrams. Note: To create and edit DMN diagrams, users need the feature set Decision Manager - DMN requirements modeling (without decision logic) or Decision Manager - complete.
